You have sent out sixty applications and heard back from four. The interview went well, and then silence. Or the visa decision is "still under review" for the third month, and every day you refresh the email and feel your chest tighten. Somewhere along the way, someone forwarded you a "guaranteed wazifa for visa approval" and you are wondering whether to try it.

This article is about what the Quran and Sunnah actually give you for provision, work and the long waits that come with them: the authentic duas, the actions that open doors, and the things to stay away from.

Provision is already written, and it is still worth asking for

Your rizq is with Allah, not with the employer or the Home Office. That is not a reason to sit still. It is a reason to stop panicking.

"And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out, and will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah, He is sufficient for him." — Quran 65:2-3

And the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

"If you relied upon Allah as He truly deserves, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds: they go out hungry in the morning and return full in the evening." — Jami' at-Tirmidhi 2344

Notice that the birds go out. Tawakkul is not waiting at home for the job to find you. When a man asked whether he should tie his camel or leave it and trust in Allah, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Tie it, and trust in Allah" (Jami' at-Tirmidhi 2517). Send the applications, prepare for the interview, get the documents right, and then hand the result to Allah.

The authentic duas for work and provision

There is no special dua that "guarantees" a job or a visa. There are authentic duas for provision, and they are better than anything invented.

The dua of Musa (peace be upon him), said when he was a stranger in a new land with no work and no home. Soon after, he was given both:

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqir

My Lord, I am truly in need of whatever good You send down to me. — Quran 28:24

The dua after Fajr, which the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say after the morning prayer:

اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good and pure provision, and deeds that are accepted. — Sunan Ibn Majah 925

The dua for being free of need, which Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) passed on from the Prophet (peace be upon him) to a man who could not pay what he owed:

اللّٰهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

Allahumma-kfini bi halalika 'an haramika, wa aghnini bi fadlika 'amman siwak

O Allah, make what is lawful enough for me so that I do not need what is unlawful, and by Your grace make me free of need of anyone besides You. — Jami' at-Tirmidhi 3563

The dua for worry and the weight of debt, which the Prophet (peace be upon him) said often:

اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan, wal-'ajzi wal-kasal, wal-bukhli wal-jubn, wa dala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from helplessness and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, and from the burden of debt and being overpowered by others. — Sahih al-Bukhari 6369

Make these duas in your own words too, in English or Urdu, in sujood, in the last third of the night, and between the adhan and iqamah. Allah understands every language.

The actions that open doors

The Quran and Sunnah name things that bring provision, and none of them cost money:

  • Istighfar. Nuh (peace be upon him) told his people: "Ask forgiveness of your Lord, indeed He is ever Forgiving. He will send rain upon you in abundance, and give you increase in wealth and children" (Quran 71:10-12).
  • Taqwa, as in Quran 65:2-3 above: keeping away from what Allah has forbidden, including in how you earn.
  • Keeping ties of kinship. "Whoever would like his provision to be increased and his life to be extended, let him maintain the ties of kinship" (Sahih al-Bukhari 5986). Call the relative you have not spoken to in months.
  • The five daily prayers on time, and the morning and evening adhkar. A job search is long; your connection with Allah should not be the thing that slips.

The visa: honesty is part of the dua

For a visa there is no special Quranic formula, and anyone who sells you one is selling you something. What there is, is the general dua for good and ease, and a firm rule: do not ask Allah to bless something built on a lie.

Do not change dates, invent a job, borrow a bank balance for a week, or let an agent "arrange" documents. Apart from the legal risk, which can mean a ban for years, it is dishonest. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

"Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise." — Sahih al-Bukhari 6094

Prepare the application honestly and carefully, take proper advice from a regulated immigration adviser or solicitor where you need it, and then make dua. If the answer is no, it is not the end of your rizq.

Choosing between offers: istikhara

If you are choosing between two jobs, deciding whether to move abroad, or wondering whether to accept an offer, pray istikhara. The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught it "as he would teach a surah of the Quran" (Sahih al-Bukhari 1162). You pray it yourself; you do not need anyone to do it for you, and you do not need to wait for a dream.

What to stay away from

  • "Guaranteed" wazifas for a job or visa, especially ones with a fee or a fixed number of days. Read how to tell a genuine raqi from a fake aamil.
  • Taweez or "bandish" removals sold as the reason you are not getting work. Sometimes the reason is the job market, your CV, or timing. Blocked rizq is not always sihr.
  • Anything that names a culprit. Blaming a relative for your rejection letters will not get you hired, and it may cost you a family.

If you want to understand the difference between a sound wazifa, ruqyah and a taweez, read wazifa, ruqyah or taweez.

When the waiting is heavy

Long job searches and visa delays wear people down. If you are not sleeping, not eating, or feeling hopeless, that is not a lack of faith. Read authentic duas for anxiety and depression, and please speak to your doctor as well.

And remember that delay is not denial:

"And perhaps you dislike a thing and it is good for you, and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not." — Quran 2:216

How we work

We do not sell visa wazifas or job taweez, and we will never promise you a result or a timeline. We do not do sihr or work with jinn.

What we do is read what you write about your situation, guide you with the Quran and authentic duas for provision and ease, with every source named, and help you separate what is spiritual from what is simply a hard season. If you would like that, you can share your situation privately here.
